THE SCENT OF A MAN: Today, Men’s Health revealed its November cover and the first winner of the Search for the Ultimate Men’s Health Guy. The champion? Noah Galloway.

“We hope to do this [contest] annually,” said Ronan Gardiner, publisher and vice president of Men’s Health, who added that 1,300 readers entered the competition this year and 400,000 reader votes were cast.

Bill Phillips, vice president and editor in chief of Men’s Health, added, “While we’ve discussed the idea in the past, it really crystallized via the everyday conversations we’re having with the six million fans on social [media].”

Presented by Kenneth Cole in celebration of his fragrance Mankind, the contest was judged by Cole, Phillips, Chris Cuomo, Erin Andrews and Willie Geist on contestants’ physical appearance, healthy lifestyle, community service, achieved professional success and reader voting.

Cole, who noted that he has a new scent in the works to build the equity of the Mankind franchise, said, “The Mankind fragrance represents and celebrates aspects of what it means to be the ultimate guy today.”
