ADIDAS PROMOTES O’HARE: Alegra O’Hare has been appointed global vice president, brand communications at Adidas Originals & Core.
In this newly created post, she reports to Arthur Hoeld, general manager, Adidas Originals & Core.

O’Hare will provide strategic leadership for the Adidas Originals, Adidas Neo, Y-3, fashion collaborations and Adidas Core Footwear teams, as part of a newly formed group called BUG Originals & Core. She will oversee the implementation of global brand communications including public relations, marketing and social media.
“Alegra has been an instrumental team player for the Adidas Group for nearly 10 years. Her commitment to the brand, inherent knowledge of what inspires our consumer and dedication to producing and leading a thoughtful and qualitative global communications strategy will propel the Adidas Originals & Core brand into its future,” said Hoeld.
O’Hare began her career at Adidas Group as communications manager, Adidas Originals, and was promoted to brand director, where she steered the Reebok business in South Europe through the relaunching of the brand in 12 countries. In 2015, she moved to the brand’s headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany and was appointed global senior director, brand communications, Adidas Originals. In her most recent role, she led the rebuilding of the team and the transformation of the entire brand communications strategy within Adidas Originals. Among her accomplishments was the launch of the brand’s first Snapchat channel. She was awarded four Lions Awards at the 2016 Cannes Lions Festival.
