PERFECT POPPY: Poppy Delevingne will join younger sister Cara on the masthead of Condé Nast’s Love Magazine. While Cara is a contributing editor, older sister Poppy has been appointed senior contributing editor, for the style title’s forthcoming spring issue, which hits newsstands on Feb. 8.
The model-actress will make her debut in the spring issue due out next Monday with a column titled “Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Perfect.” From her experiences waiting in audition rooms to stories about front-row antics, Delevingne will pen her journeys in the column.
For her column’s portrait, Delevingne was photographed by Sølve Sundsbø. Delevingne is seen sporting a blue-bobbed hairstyle wearing a J.W. Anderson puff-sleeve top with a sheer body with Moncler Gamme Rouge embroidery. She accessorized her look with a Hillier Bartley cross-body bag and black glasses.
“Since I was a little girl I’ve always wanted to write, so when Katie [Grand] asked if I’d be interested in putting ink to paper for the magazine, I was over the moon,” said Poppy Delevingne. “The column is something completely new and exciting for me; a different dimension. And a chance for me to explore something that I’m truly passionate about. The world of Love might have just got a little weirder.”
Delevingne has appeared in Love’s Video Advent, a series of seasonal festive movies, recently taking on the role of Poppy Tart, a dominatrix alter ego, in film directed by Ruth Hogben. She scored the cover of the fall 2015 issue of Love magazine.
Delevingne joins her sister Cara and fellow model Edie Campbell as a contributing editor at Love; Campbell joined the masthead in March 2014.
