GROUP DYNAMICS: Telegraph Media Group has appointed Sasha Slater as head of magazines, a new role at the company.
Slater joins the group from U.K. Harper’s Bazaar, where she is currently deputy editor. Prior to that, she had held several senior roles at British publishers, including deputy editor of The Times Magazine and editor of The Evening Standard’s ES magazine.
In the new role, Slater will edit the Saturday Telegraph magazine and oversee TMG’s other lifestyle brands, including its Luxury and ST titles. A spokeswoman for TMG said Slater’s start date is still to be confirmed. Slater will report to Jane Bruton, director of lifestyle at TMG. Bruton, who was formerly editor in chief of Grazia U.K., joined TMG as director of lifestyle earlier this year.
