Havaiana’s Facebook Explosion: The brand’s ‘RSVP to Summer’ campaign resulted in “likes” soaring from 25,000 to 150,385 during the month of June, and the multi-platform approach also included weekly tips from Foursquare and a feed from Havaiana’s Tumblr blog, “Always Summer.” Other elements from the campaign were the Facebook Soundtrack to Summer, where “likes” were able to download the free soundtrack of summer tunes and and Ask the Concierge, which answered user questions about anything summer related.
Shopbop took users behind the scenes at the Theory headquarters this week, giving them a peak at the Isabel Dupré styled video shoot that will show shoppers how to wear trousers come October.

Aloha Rag’s New Website, Now With Social Media and the Power to Give Shoppers a Sense of Urgency: The store, known for their well-edited collection of Thakoon, Ann Demeulemeester and Martin Margiela, unveiled their revamped e-commerce site today. It includes added social networking capabilities that give shoppers the ability to share and “like” items to their Facebook pages, a “1 Left” feature to let you know the availability of an item (and if you should buy it right now because those Rick Owens knit harem shorts are selling out and you’ll be sorry if you don’t own them) and a “New Items” page that now live-streams as new items arrive. Today was also the online launch of the in-house Aloha Rag Collection, designed by owner Tatsugo Yoda. Prices range anywhere from $80 for a navy and white striped tee, to $285 for a women’s military jacket (whose motorcycle meets bubble silhouette is so awesome that it’s already in my virtual shopping bag), to a men’s leather jacket that tops out at $785. The website’s also offering 25 of their eco bags free to the first 25 orders placed today, with promotion code “ARLOVESYOU” – and word on the street is that there are a few left.
