David Yurman has headed south for its spring campaign – almost as far south as one can get on the East Coast.
The jewelry brand has cast Taylor Hill and Natalia Vodianova in its spring campaign. Photos were shot in the Florida Keys by Bruce Weber, in his signature soft color photography.
“It was such an amazing experience working with the David Yurman family and Bruce Weber. I can’t wait to see the campaign come out and I’m looking forward to the future with them,” said Hill. The 20-year-old model has, in the past few years, become a Victoria’s Secret Angel, the face of Joe’s Jeans and last week was named an ambassador — alongside Hailey Baldwin — for L’Oréal Professionnel.
Speaking about Hill — a newcomer to the Yurman campaign family, which in the past has included Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen – Yurman cofounder Sybil Yurman said: “Taylor is an easy, breezy, beautiful, relaxed girl-next-door. You can dress her up and you can dress her down. She reflects us — she is your girl-next-door; she can be anyone, she can be your sister, can be your daughter, a party girl, you name it.”
Vodianova, by contrast, has a long history with the brand, having worked with the label as far back as 2008. Now 34, the model’s career is still going strong — she was named earlier this week as the face of H&M’s new Conscious collection.
The spring campaign reflects the Yurman brand’s continued emphasis on color photos, which it has used for the last few seasons instead of its long-signature black and white images.
“Our ad campaigns and our company have always been about fun, always been about being in the moment — pitching a spirit of aliveness and joy,” said Yurman. “Whether it’s Kate, Natalia, whomever we’ve used over the years. We just continue to do more of the same and stay true to who we are.
“The spirit of this campaign and using Taylor and Natalia captures that feeling of youthfulness and playfulness — it has everything to do with American style.”
