New York Magazine’s The Cut has added two new, yet familiar names to its masthead.
Refinery29’s former editorial director Mikki Halpin has come aboard as deputy editorial director, and Racked’s executive editor Izzy Grinspan has joined as senior editor. Halpin joins The Cut a day after Refinery29 confirmed her departure as the Web site revamps its mission to focus more on news.
Halpin will work with The Cut’s editorial director Stella Bugbee to grow the team to cover a variety of topics, including fashion, beauty, culture, wellness and sex. She will start her new job Aug. 3.
Grinspan, who starts on July 23, will edit fashion, beauty and market features. She will also work to revamp the site’s fashion week coverage and focus on original lifestyle storytelling.
