HEART OF GLASS: Tod’s is living in a glass house this season. For its spring ad campaign, the Italian brand precisely recreated architect Philip Johnson’s transparent Connecticut abode on the ground of Villa Necchi in Milan. The company will unveil the ads on Sunday alongside its fall men’s collection.

 

The campaign, the first in a series the brand plans to introduce as part of its “An Italian Travel Diary” project, depicts two elegantly dressed men seated inside the original house, engrossed in conversation. While the main image is in black and white, a smaller close-up on the right hand side is a color detail of Tod’s classic Club Gommino model.

 

Photographer Michelangelo di Battista shot the campaign, which will break internationally in February, both in print and online.
