Town & Country has tapped Alex Wiederin as executive design director.
Wiederin succeeds Alex Gonzalez, who held a dual creative role at Hearst, when he served at Elle and T+C. Wiederin is the founder and creative director of Buero New York, a boutique design agency. He has held creative director roles at Elle Italia, Vogue Hommes International, 10 Magazine and Glamour Italy, among others. At Buero, he has produced work for clients such as Valentino, Versace, Givenchy and Missoni.
“Alex has a very rare combination of skills and talents — an experienced feel for the fashion and luxury worlds, a design aesthetic that follows from logic and rigor — and is a man as interested in turning journalistic ideas into images as he is in making beautiful pictures,” T+C editor in chief Jay Fielden said of his new hire.
