Longtime Time Inc. executive Jay Meyer has left the company after 19 years, according to a memo circulated by executive vice president Evelyn Webster.
Meyer, who served as publisher of Travel + Leisure for four years, has been succeeded by Food & Wine associate publisher Joseph Messer. He will report to senior vice president and publishing director Steven DeLuca.
Messer’s promotion marks his return to T+L. Before joining F&W in November 2012, Messer was a member of the travel glossy’s sales team for more than seven years, during which he held several jobs, including Southwest director and advertising director.
“With this change, Travel + Leisure publisher Jay Meyer is leaving the company,” Webster said. “He has been a dedicated leader, and I thank him for his commitment and significant contributions to Travel + Leisure as well as his many years of achievements and service at Food & Wine and corporate sales & marketing.”
