HEADING EAST: Condé Nast International announced today that a Ukraine edition of Vogue would debut within the next year. It will be published as part of a license partnership between Condé Nast International and UMH Group, a Ukraine media group that operates across the Internet, radio and publishing markets in Russia and the Ukraine. Condé Nast said Vogue would be the first magazine to launch in print and digital as part of the licensed publishing relationship.

Jonathan Newhouse, chairman and chief executive officer of Condé Nast International, said: “The Ukraine is ready for Vogue. Kiev is booming and there is a strong market demand for luxury products and the experience Vogue can offer the reader,” he stated. Boris Lozhkin, president of UMH Group, added: “A partnership with Condé Nast is a great honor and responsibility for UMH Group. This will take the media business in Ukraine to a new level, while the launch of Vogue has great significance for the entire luxury market.”

The Ukraine edition of Vogue will be the title’s 20th edition worldwide. As reported, Condé Nast International also plans to open a Vogue Café in Kiev, Ukraine, by early 2013, in partnership with the Otrada Luxury Group.
