PARIS — Etudes Studio has a flurry of new investors.
A multifaceted platform that produces apparel, edits art books and provides creative services, Etudes is a studio established by artist Aurélien Arbet and graphic designer Jérémie Egry in 2012 to combine elements of their two previous ventures: apparel brand Hixsept and publishing house JSBJ.
Among those who have taken a stake in the firm are investment fund Fashion Capital Partners; Headbangers Publishing, represented by its boss, DJ and producer Pedro Winter; and a contemporary art player who wishes to remain anonymous, Etudes said in a statement.
NellyRodi MoneyBox, a subsidiary of the trend forecasting agency NellyRodi that took a stake in Etudes in late 2013, has also increased its investment.
“This operation will make it possible to structure the company and carry on with its commercial development plan in France and overseas,” Etudes said, adding that its revenues rose 44 percent in 2014.
Arbet, Egry and fellow founding members Marc Bothorel, José Lamali, Antoine Belékian and Nicolas Poillot all continue to hold stakes in Etudes, it said. The label is to present its fall-winter men’s and women’s collection in Paris on Jan. 24.
