HONG KONG — Global Brands Group said Friday that its U.S. subsidiary has agreed to purchase hosiery company PS Brands for a total outlay of no more than $130 million in a bid to boost its presence in the sock industry.

The final price will be based on the financial performance of PS Brands, trading as “Planet Sox.”

Global Bands said PS Brands’ license portfolio includes Disney, Nickelodeon, Hasbro, Fila, Head Sport, Kate Spade, Nanette Lepore, and Kensie. PS Brands posted net profit for the year ended Dec. 31, 2014 of $8.6 million on sales of $100.2 million.
