Following prior acquisitions, International Textile Group rebranded the firm as Elevate Textiles Inc., which reflects a new name and corporate identity that replaces ITG as the parent company of American & Efird, Burlington, Cone Denim, Gütermann and Safety Components. The move creates a strong portfolio of global solution-oriented brands in the textile industry.

Elevate Textiles was initiated when ITG and American & Efird integrated last year, under the leadership of Platinum Equity, which had acquired the two firms in 2016 and 2018, respectively. The new parent company said it will establish its headquarters in Charlotte, N.C. and its current offices in Greensboro, N.C. and Mount Holly, N.C. will “remain as divisional headquarters for the respective fabrics and threads portfolio brands.”

Elevate Textiles, as a combined company, offers “mission critical” textile solutions ranging from specialty and performance-driven fabrics to high-end denim, advanced technical fabrics and premium industrial and consumer sewing threads, the company said. It services 25,000 customers in over 100 countries, across six continents, inclusive of 37 facilities and over 15,000 employees.

The firm said that it “offers a new, innovative approach to the textiles sector, providing both premium fabrics and thread solutions globally. As a consolidated platform, Elevate Textiles will continue to focus on operational excellence, safety, and environmental sustainability, with an integrated approach to the supply chain, R&D, and procurement. Elevate Textiles is committed to growth through customer collaboration, innovative product development, and delivery of premium, mission-critical textile solutions globally.”
