MILAN Marco de Vincenzo has a new minority investor. Marco Panzeri has acquired 35 percent of the luxury label through MMGP Srl, a new company, which also controls Cieffe Milano, the manufacturing firm that produces the Marco de Vincenzo collections.

Following the transaction, de Vincenzo’s Daydreamer Srl will retain a 20 percent stake and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which in 2014 formed a venture with the Italian designer to develop his ready-to-wear label, will maintain its 45 percent stake.

While de Vincenzo will continue to design the collections of the brand he founded in 2009, keeping his role of creative director, Panzeri will succeed Renato Munafò as chief executive officer.

Starting with the fall 2019 collection, which will be unveiled with a runway show on Feb. 22 in Milan, Marco de Vincenzo rtw lines will be directly distributed by the company from its showrooms in Milan and Paris. The shoe line will continue to be wholesaled by footwear multibrand showroom Massimo Bonini.

In addition, to boost the brand’s presence in the United States, the rtw and accessories collections will be sold at New York’s multilabel showroom CD Network.

Along with developing his own label, de Vincenzo continues to work with Silvia Venturini Fendi in Fendi’s accessories design department.
