Alanui's Nicolò e Carlotta Oddi

MILAN — New Guards Group Holding SpA has acquired an undisclosed stake in Alanui, the emerging luxury knitwear label founded in 2015 by siblings Carlotta and Nicolò Oddi.

The details of the operation were not disclosed.

New Guards Group is a Milan-based company, which controls a range of fashion labels, such as Marcelo Burlon County of Milan, Palm Angels, Off-White, Heron Preston and Unravel Project.

“Alanui shares with New Guards Group the values of contemporary luxury, innovation and experimentation,” said Davide De Giglio, who founded New Guards Group with Claudio Antonioli and Marcelo Burlon. “Having Alanui joining our brand portfolio reveals our attention toward emerging realities and strong identities that bring new energy to the group.”

Alanui, which offers luxurious unisex buttonless oversize cardigan embellished with fringes, a two-tone belt and a range of intarsia patterns, is distributed in 120 multibrand and department stores in the world.

“We are very satisfied of the agreement reached together with New Guards Group and proud to be part of a company that believes in young brands and creative and innovative projects,” said Nicolò Oddi. “It is an important growth opportunity for our brand and I think that New Guards Group synergic approach, the contributing structure and the productive know-how will allow Alanui to become one of the most relevant brands in the luxury knitwear scene.”
