NYC Alliance has acquired 525 America for an undisclosed sum.
525 America, which was founded by husband and wife Bobby and Marianne Bock almost 30 years ago, is known for its women’s contemporary sweaters. The brand will now be led by Lynn Siemers-Shea, the chief executive officer of NYC Alliance, a privately held company that designs, manufactures and distributes women’s clothing.
“This is an exciting acquisition for NYC Alliance, and in line with our strategic objectives to diversify our portfolio,” said Siemers-Shea, who added that she will work with Bobby and Marianne Bock going forward. “We will continue to look for strategic partnerships with companies that are design-centric and that have strong management teams.”
“525 America has always been about the product and the customer’s relationship to it. I am confident that this new phase for the brand will continue in that vein,” said Robert.
525 America is currently sold at retailers including Revolve, Shopbop and Bloomingdale’s.
