PARIS – Puma AG said it would launch a friendly, 100 percent takeover of its Dutch licensee Dobotex, which produces its socks and bodywear.
Puma already owns 50.1 percent of Dobotex and will acquire the remaining shares on Jan. 1, 2012. The deal includes its logistics arm, Dobologic.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
In tandem with the transaction, Nina Nix, Puma’s global director of accessories and licensing, has been named general manager of Dobotoex, effective Jan. 1.
Found in 1979 and based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, Dobotex has held the Puma license since 1997.
