MILAN — Manuela Arcari and Davide Angus are buying back Gfm Industria SpA, the company they established in 1985 that operates the Ter et Bantine and Hache fashion brands.

In 2009, investment fund Opera Sgr acquired an 80 percent stake in Gfm Industria and in 2014 replaced creative director Arcari and chief executive officer Angus with a different team. Gfm Industria filed a petition for a composition with creditors with the court earlier this year.

Recently, Arcari and Angus created a new company, called Arcari e Co., which has rented Gfm Industria, agreeing to purchase it in the next few months.

Angus will be Gfm Industria’s chief executive officer and Arcari will return to design the Ter et Bantine and Hache collections starting with the fall 2016 season.
