Aéropostale, the fashion teen retailer, has forged a new strategic partnership with Boyner Department Store, one of the leading fashion retailers in Turkey.
Boyner, along with Authentic Brands Group — whose portfolio of lifestyle and entertainment brands includes Aéropostale — have joined in a multiyear license agreement with plans to open 60 Aéropostale retail locations in Turkey this year and 95 locations by 2023. The first fleet of stores will be in the Istanbul, Izmir and Bursa regions.
Jarrod Weber, group president, lifestyle, ABG, said, “Aéropostale’s denim-led, fast-fashion approach for Gen Z has had a unique relationship with its customers in the Turkish market.” He said its strategic partnership with Boyner Group will have an expanded rollout in Boyner Department Store. “The combination of Aéropostale with this powerful retailer is something that we have worked to achieve for quite some time,” said Weber.
As one of the largest retail companies in Turkey, with over 110 stores across the country and experience in licensing and manufacturing, Boyner Department Store is the exclusive partner to distribute and manufacture the Aéropostale brand in Turkey. Boyner will purchase from the brand’s global line as well as locally source product specifically for the Turkish customer.
A full line of Aéropostale young women’s and men’s apparel and accessories will be sold at the Aéropostale Boyner shop-in-shops this year.
Aéropostale operates over 511 stores in the U.S., and 541 locations in Mexico, Latin America, South America, and the Middle East.
