LONDON — Amazon Fashion has named Barbara Palvin as the face of the company’s European fall 2016 campaign, WWD has learned.
“I think the meaning behind the campaign strapline is really important,” Palvin said. It’s about embracing being an individual and encouraging personal expression through fashion.”
The 22-year-old Hungarian model and actress has modeled on the runway for labels including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Prada and Victoria Secret. She’s also appeared in ads for Emporio Armani and Calvin Klein’s Forbidden Euphoria fragrance.
Photographed by Cass Bird and styled by Julia Sarr-Jamois, the campaign was shot in the company’s studio in East London.
Palvin is pictured wearing a Champion dress, Filippa K A-line skirt, Gestuz knitted dress and a Paul & Joe ruffle shirt.
“Barbara is a great advocate for our ‘Don’t look like me, look like you’ campaign,” said Amazon Fashion Europe marketing director Juliet Warkentin. “She has lots of energy and a fresh style, that shines off the page and in our video.”
The campaign will run in various titles across the U.K., Germany, Italy, France and Spain.
