American Eagle Outfitters Inc. will expand its portfolio of international stores through licensing arrangements with retailers in Greece, South Korea and Singapore.

American Eagle has licensed SK Networks Co. Ltd. of South Korea, Trendz 360 Pte. Ltd. in Singapore and Notos Com Holdings SA in Greece.

The South Korean and Singaporean operations are expected to open their first stores in mid-2015 and the Greek licensee in the fall.

“We look forward to bringing our casual American style and iconic American Eagle Outfitters jeans brand as well as Aerie intimates to new customers,” said Simon Nankervis, executive vice president of global commercial operations for the Pittsburgh-based specialty store. “Our partners bring vast knowledge in their respective markets, an expertise in building businesses and a strong passion for our brands.”

The new licensees extend the American Eagle portfolio to 28 countries, including more than 1,000 owned-and-operated stores in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, China, Hong Kong and the U.K. There are currently 111 licensed stores in 17 countries, with the most recent addition to its international roster coming in March with the addition of a single licensee, Eurofashion Limitada, to open units in Chile and Peru.

The company expects to open approximately 40 licensed stores during the current fiscal year. It ships to 81 countries through its Web sites.
