UP A SIZE: Santa Monica, Calif.-based tuxedo rental company Black Tux is expanding into larger warehouse space.
The company is in the process of moving its inventory to the new facility that more than quadruples the amount of space Black Tux has from 12,000 to 50,000 square feet in Gardena, Calif. The company’s existing warehouse is located in the same city.
The move follows Black Tux’s close in January on a $10 million Series A round.
A dry cleaning facility will be added to the new warehouse by fall.
Black Tux, launched in 2013 by Andrew Blackmon and Patrick Coyne, offers tuxedo and suit rentals priced from $95 to $120 and all are designed in Santa Monica. The company also offers shirts, vests, shoes and other related items.
