Want to work on your chip shot? Head to the Brooks Brothers flagship in Manhattan.
As part of the redesign of the third-floor sportswear department at its Madison Avenue flagship, the retailer has installed a full-scale indoor PGA Tour simulator. Players get to choose a variety of courses including St. Andrews Links’ Old Course, New Course and Jubilee Course. Once a course is selected, players can opt to play the driving range, practice or work on their short game as part of the 3-D experience, all while using Callaway clubs and balls provided at the store.
Brooks has a long history with golf, having created its first collection in 1890. Last March, the company partnered with St. Andrews Links to create the official apparel of the famed courses. That collection launches for spring.
“We wanted to celebrate our commitment to golf and also offer our customers a unique experience,” said Claudio Del Vecchio, Brooks’ chairman and chief executive officer. “I am sure our clients will appreciate the ability to shop as well as the opportunity to enhance their golf game.”
The third floor houses a full complement of the company’s casual apparel and accessories, including technical apparel for golf, sailing and tennis.
