Chantecaille, a premium skin-care brand known for its high concentration of botanicals, is opening an expanded store concept in Breeze Taipei, Taiwan, to reflect the growing demand from Asian consumers.

The 600-square-foot store opens today, complete with a full-service boutique with a private spa room for Chantecaille facials and body treatments. Industry sources estimate the store could ring up sales of $1.9 million this year.

Replacing a smaller store also in Breeze, the new site incorporates new decor reflecting the natural heritage of the brand. Some of the touches include wood floors and hand-finished plaster walls.

“I was inspired by the design concept of the Apple Store,” said Sylvie Chantecaille, who founded the line in 1997 as a small fragrance house. “The environment offers you freedom to shop and try different product independently, but you can also receive very good personalized service, whether it’s on the floor or during one on one sessions.”

While Chantecaille is primarily sold at counters or boutiques within prestige stores, the freestanding format allows more room for browsing the assortment, as well as special private appointment areas to consult with skin-care experts. Videos throughout the store tell the Chantecaille story as well as educate consumers about philanthropic efforts.

In addition to opportunities in Asia, Chantecaille identified growth potential in the U.S., Russia and Canada.
