Ujjwal Dhoot has been named vice president of marketing at Charming Charlie, the women’s contemporary jewelry and accessory retailer.

The role, which was previously held by Leanna Levy, has been vacant since mid-2005.

Dhoot will be responsible for developing a marketing strategy that will build global awareness and drive traffic to Charming Charlie’s stores and charmingcharlie.com. He will be based in the company’s Los Angeles office.

Earlier, Dhoot was chief marketing officer for FSAStore.com, responsible for the overall growth strategy, customer acquisition and retention, analytics development and testing for the FSA-eligible products and services shop. Before that, he was vice president of marketing at 20×200, an online retailer for limited-edition art.

Charming Charlie, launched in 2004 by founder and chief executive officer, Charlie Chanaratsopon, has more than 350 global retail stores across the United States, Canada, the Middle East and the Philippines. Its product range, which includes fashion jewelry, handbags, accessories, apparel and footwear, retails from $5 to $150 for limited-edition items.
