Chris Ventry has been named general manager of Gilt Man, a division of Gilt Groupe Inc., effective immediately. Ventry, who was head of business operations for Park & Bond, Gilt’s full-price men’s site, will oversee all aspects of the Gilt Man business including operations, merchandising and marketing. John Auerbach, who formerly held both the positions of general manager of Gilt Man and president of Park & Bond, will focus exclusively on the Park & Bond business.
“Chris is as equally well versed in the world of business as he is in the world of fashion, and we are excited to move him into this critical role as the general manager of Gilt Man,” said Kevin Ryan, chief executive officer of Gilt Groupe. “It’s an exciting time for the men’s business now with our two distinct personalities — Gilt Man and Park & Bond. Chris’ vast experience will be a huge asset as we continue to drive excitement for Gilt Man.”
Gilt Man, which launched in 2009, has sales in excess of $100 million.
Prior to joining Gilt in 2010, Ventry was with AlixPartners LLC. He was also chief operating officer for Rogan and Loomstate, where he launched e-commerce Web sites for the brands.
