TOKYO — It might sound like a Fifties flick, but Colette Meets Comme des Garçons is actually a collaborative store that opened in Aoyama here late last month.

The 1,400-square-foot shop, a partnership between the French retailer Colette and Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons, is Comme’s second temporary store here and will operate through December. Comme’s first such project in Japan, Happy Army Store by Junya Watanabe, ran from January to June.
