NEW YORK — Colin Campbell has been promoted to executive vice president, production and sourcing, at Limited Stores, where he will be responsible for all aspects of production and sourcing.

Campbell will report directly to the chief executive of Limited Stores once that position is filled.

Since 1998 Campbell served as vice president, production, at Limited Stores, having worked as vice president of Limited’s now defunct Cacique division since 1997. Prior to that he was vice president of operations for the dress and suit divisions at Liz Claiborne Inc.

David Desjardins was named regional vice president, stores, at Express, where he will manage the men’s stores team. Most recently Desjardins was the director of sales support and operations at Limited stores, which he joined in 1999. Before that he spent eight years in numerous capacities at the three divisions of The Gap Inc.

Mark Jeremias was appointed vice president, general merchandise manager of Express Men’s, where he will lead merchandising efforts to define and develop product lines and report directly to Express executive vice president, merchandising, Paul Raffin. Jeremias previously served as executive vice president at Beanie Baby-maker Ty Inc.

In a corporate appointment, Gail Stern was named vice president, real estate law, at The Limited Inc., where she will be responsible for all real estate legal matters affecting the company, including its store locations and real estate development activities. Most recently, Stern was a partner and chair of the business service department at Whiteford, Taylor and Preston LLP in Baltimore. She succeeds David Zoba, who has moved to Galyan’s, previously a unit of Limited.

Limited Technology Services, a division of The Limited Inc., promoted Kathleen Starkoff to group vice president and chief technology officer, where she will oversee planning for the development, acquisition, implementation and support of information technology. Starkoff comes from Finance One Corp. at Bank One Corp., where she was also the chief technical officer. She succeeds Karlin Bohnert, who left the firm more than a year ago.
