The White Plains store will open in The Westchester, a retail complex expected to be completed in March. Tiffany will occupy 6,000 square feet in the upscale three-level mall.
JAX A HIT: Designer Ron Leal took his fall Jax and Country by Jax lines on the road this month for a series of trunk shows in New Jersey and Michigan, and generated more than $200,000.
Starting in Upper Montclair, N.J., he visited the specialty store Alex on May 13-14, and rang up $56,000. The bestseller was a reversible barn jacket, converting from navy cotton flannel to tan brushed cotton, at $350. Alex owner Sallie Litchfield said 15 units sold, out of a total 289 pieces for the two days.
The collection moved on to Michigan, where Leal visited Jacobson’s stores in Livonia, East Grand Rapids, Grosse Point and Birmingham, May 17-20. The reversible barn jacket was also a hit there, with 30 pieces sold, and from the Jax line, an asymmetrical jacket at $360 and pants at $190 sold 28 units each. In all, 756 pieces sold, generating $150,000.
