PARIS — Cross-border beauty shopping has never been easier here than this holiday season, when pop-up stores selling U.K.- and Berlin-based products are opening their doors in the Marais district.
Feelunique.com, the U.K.-based e-tailer, will from Nov. 27 to Dec. 13 host its first pop-up store, at 121 Rue Vieille du Temple in the 3rd arrondissement. It is to stock British beauty labels, with some exclusive to France.
The 1,110-square-foot location will sell more than 120 references culled from 16 brands, including Aromatherapy Associates, Balance Me, Colab, Cowshed, Emma Hardie, Miller Harris and Tangle Teezer. Each one has been asked to stage an event of some kind, ranging from nail bars to personalized skin diagnosis and massages.
The product offer at Feelunique.com’s ephemeral boutique will include skin-care, hair-care, makeup, fragrance, accessories and beauty devices. Clients there can for 5 euros, or $5.40 at current exchange, create their own personalized tote bag and get four beauty samples and a gift certificate worth 15 euros, or $16.15, for use on Feeunique.com.
Meanwhile, a Pop Into Berlin shop will be open at 35 Rue Quincampoix in Paris’ 4th arrondissement on Dec. 7 and run through Dec. 12. It is to sell products including the Berlin In A Bottle coffret of three scents created by Frau Tonis Parfum.
The Und Gretel makeup artist brand will also be sold here. It’s a line created by Christina Roth and Stephanie Dettmann that has products made with ingredients of natural origins, without preservatives or chemicals.
Pop Into Berlin boutiques, an initiative launched this year by Visit Berlin and Be Berlin, have already been staged in Stockholm, London, Vienna and Amsterdam.
