Barcelona-based Desigual said it will focus on growth in 2015 in North America, opening three stores each in Canada and the U.S. during the fourth quarter.
It is also partnering with Palacio del Hierro, the largest department store in Mexico, to open six doors there in 2015 and 30 shop-in-shops over the next four years. The shop-in-shops will include Desigual’s kids collection. The brand’s Mexican e-commerce site is expected to launch next year in April.
The company launched its Canadian e-commerce site in July. It also expects to open more stores in the U.S. in New York, Florida and Nevada, its key American markets.
The company said it passed the $1 billion mark at the close of 2013, and is working on “international markets to maintain its double-digit growth.”
