Michelle Evans, formerly with Jetblack and Tiffany & Co., has joined The Doneger Group as executive vice president of merchandising, a new position at the firm.
Evans will be a member of the executive team and report directly to Abbey Doneger, president.
Doneger said Evans will lead the company’s core merchandising advisory services for retail, fashion and related companies, including strategic merchandising direction and business analysis across women’s, men’s and children’s apparel and accessories.
Evans will also oversee Directives West, the company’s Los Angeles-based merchandising team that provides industry analysis and extensive coverage on the West Coast lifestyle as it relates to retail, fashion and consumers.
Doneger characterized Evans as a seasoned executive with leadership skills, a variety of experience across business models and functional areas, and significant insight into the changing retail landscape. “She appreciates the unique position of our business in the industry. I am confident that our clients and the Doneger team will benefit from her innovative and strategic thinking.”
Evans last worked at Jetblack, Walmart’s start-up personal shopping service, where she led the merchandising team. Over 20 years, she’s also held positions at Tiffany & Co., Gilt Groupe and Chloe + Isabel, and began in a management consulting job at Charles River Associates.
