The saying “from little acorns, mighty oaks grow” seems to be the strategy of a handful of brick-and-mortar outfits from London to Los Angeles that are building mushrooming e-commerce businesses despite having only a few — or even only one — store. Firms like in London, in Munich and Elyse Walker in L.A. are proving that geographical boundaries, or size, don’t really matter in the online world.
