Kathee Tesija, former executive vice president and chief merchandising and supply chain officer at Target Corp., has joined the Simpactful LLC consulting firm as a senior adviser and consultant.
Since July 2015, when she stepped down from her executive role at Target, she been in an advisory role at the mass chain.
In its announcement Wednesday, Simpactful said Tesija spent 30 years at Target and will work with clients to improve top- and bottom-line results via strategic guidance, direction on sales and marketing plans, and through her operational/in-store expertise.
At Target, Tesija oversaw product design and development, sourcing, merchandising, presentation, inventory management, operations and global supply chain for Target.com and nearly 1,800 retail stores.
“Kathee’s tremendous experience, along with our team of other senior leaders from companies like Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Procter & Gamble, Acosta, General Mills, Safeway and beyond, enables Simpactful to bring our clients real-world solutions that enable them to deliver best-in-class sales and profit growth, plus organizational productivity,” said Tom O’Brien, the chairman of Simpactful.
The one-year-old Simpactful, based in San Francisco, has more than 30 clients, ranging from consumer package goods start-ups, to established brands and retailers, to e-commerce businesses and others.
