ELSEWHERE IN TEXAS: Houston’s tony River Oaks District is getting a luxury import from the Big “D” this fall. Forty Five Ten, the Dallas luxury specialty store, has revealed plans to expand to Houston in September.
The 3,300-square-foot store will carry both men’s and women clothing and accessories, cosmetics and home goods. The store is mirrored after the Forty Five Ten flagship opening in downtown Dallas across from The Joule Hotel.
Citing Houston’s own “chic style,” Forty Five Ten owner Brian Bolke said the store will include Forty Five Ten’s Rare Beauty concept, an exclusive mix of fragrance, color and beauty treatments. In addition to rtw and accessories, with a focus on emerging designers, the store will have an Assouline book department and a gift and home department.
The new locale will also include the Copper Bar, a Champagne and coffee bar located at the front. River Oaks District is a pedestrian-friendly center, and the inclusion of a bar is part of Bolke’s aim to encourage shopping, sipping and socializing.
