Gucci has reopened its Milan store in central Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Covering 1,938 square feet over two floors, the renovated space showcases the men’s and women’s collections of handbags, footwear, luggage, small leather goods, silk accessories, jewelry, eyewear and fragrances. The concept mirrors that of the Milan flagship on Via Montenapoleone, which was renovated in September 2015 to reflect creative director Alessandro Michele‘s vision.
The interior concept combines traditional and modern elements, infused with both industrial and romantic aesthetics to deliver Gucci’s signature contemporary eclecticism.
Soft velvet armchairs offset metal surfaces, rich fabrics contrast with industrial display units, round tables are juxtaposed to rectangular cases. Gray matelassé or pale pink velvet upholstery and vintage rugs covering marble floors complete the design. Gucci trunks are also introduced as decorative elements to pay tribute to the brand’s heritage.
