WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE: Bluefly Inc. on Thursday launched its storefront on Amazon.com as a featured store in the apparel and accessories section. “We’re excited to be able to bring our unique combination of fashion, value and service to an entirely new market, and we believe that Amazon.com’s customers will truly appreciate our product offering and shopping experience,” said Bluefly’s chief executive officer Melissa Payner in a statement. The New York-based online retailer sells designer brand fashion at discount prices.

PERSONALIZED CELLS: Franky & Minx, the New York-based lifestyle company, inked a licensing agreement with AG Interactive to create downloadable cell-phone wallpaper for AG Mobile, the company’s wireless division. Franky & Minx is known for creating Ts, tanks and loungewear emblazoned with its tattoo-inspired designs. Currently, 46 cell-phone wallpaper designs are available. The zodiac and kanji images were created exclusively for AG Mobile by Franky, the artist at Franky & Minx, and Elvis Crocker, the company’s creative director. The designs are available to Verizon customers and can be accessed through Verizon cell phones. Each design costs $1.99 to download. Heidi Minx, president of Franky & Minx, said, “If we can find a way to put our stamp on something, we’ll do it. Generation Y wants to personalize things. This is just one way for them to do that.” Franky & Minx is in the process of customizing pants, tanks and bomber jackets for musician Avril Lavigne.
