Simon Property Group‘s Fashion Mall at Keystone in Indianapolis on Thursday hosted the Luxe Fashion Show in conjunction with GQ and Verizon IndyCar series.
Verizon IndyCar Series drivers walking the runway included James Hinchcliffe, this year’s pole-sitter, fellow front-row competitor Josef Newgarden, as well as Simon Pagenaud and Max Chilton.
“The Simon and GQ partnership is a perfect fit for IndyCar and our drivers,” said C.J. O’Donnell, chief marketing officer for IndyCar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. “The open-wheel racing world is known for its exciting atmosphere, style and glamour. Working with Simon, we highlighted the speed, thrill and allure of IndyCar racing by putting the stars of the sport on a new stage.”
The runway show featured retailers from the Fashion Mall at Keystone such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Raleigh Limited Menswear and Anthropologie, among others, styled by Brett Fahlgren, executive stylist of GQ.
“Indianapolis is Simon’s hometown, so it was important to us to share in the excitement the whole city is experiencing,” said Chidi Achara, senior vice president and global creative director at Simon. “We’re celebrating by showcasing spring’s top trends from world-class brands — modeled by some of the best drivers in this weekend’s race. It’s an historic weekend, and Simon is proud to be a part of it.”
