Joseph’s Custom Clothing for Men has signed a lease for its first Manhattan store, a 1,000-square-foot location at 805 Third Ave., between 49th and 50th Streets.

The company, which is owned by custom tailor Joseph Wendt, currently operates a unit in Huntington, N.Y. Joseph’s specializes in bepoke suits, jackets, slacks, shirts and overcoats, as well as ties and knitwear. “The new store will have a traditional feeling, almost like a haberdasher on Jermyn Street, including custom cabinetry, leather bound chairs, the finest cloths and personal bespoke tailors,” said Joseph Aquino, executive vice president of Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group, which brokered the deal for the location.

Joseph’s clients include celebrities, sports figures and businessmen, Aquino said.
