TOKYO — Lands’ End will launch a catalog in Japan this year, as part of an international expansion over the next few years.
The catalog will be written in Japanese, with the products priced in yen. It will be operated by Lands’ End Japan K.K., a fully owned subsidiary of Lands’ End, based in Dodgeville, Wis.
The catalog will offer less casual sportswear and fewer home furnishings than the Lands’ End book distributed in the U.S.
At the annual meeting last May, William End, president and chief executive officer, said the company expects to expand its international operations first in the U.K. and Canada.
However, he added, “Over the next year or two, we will be looking into other international markets, including Japan, France and Germany, and smaller markets like Mexico.
