BOROUGH 24/7: Juice bars and barber shops are not the only things in Paris that nod to the influence of Brooklyn hipsters. Swanky Left Bank department store Le Bon Marché is planning a storewide exhibition this fall devoted to the borough’s influence.
Slated to run from Aug. 29 to Oct. 17, the showcase is to span men’s and women’s fashions, jewelry, ceramics, beauty products, home items and specialty foods from such neighborhoods as Williamsburg, Dumbo and Bushwick. More than 100 brands are to be imported, some making their international debuts; others providing exclusive products. These include J. Crew for men’s and kids, an exclusive to the store; along with Ulla Johnson, Yune Ho, Harvey Faircloth, Knickerbocker, Brooklyn Tailors, M.N. Davis & Son, Brooklyn Circus, Kinfolk and Brooklyn Industries.
