What’s next for Bobbi Brown?
She just launched her JustBobbi lifestyle shops at Lord & Taylor last week. Yet the subject among the crowd of 150 or so came up at Monday night’s party on the rooftop of Lord & Taylor’s Fifth Avenue flagship, celebrating the collaboration and Brown’s new book “Beauty From the Inside Out.”
“She’s amazing, easy to work with and always full of ideas,” said Liz Rodbell, the president of Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay. And it’s highly possible, as Rodbell said, that Brown, who has been designated Lord & Taylor’s creative consultant, does more for the store than the JustBobbi shops, which are exclusive to L&T.
“We are on a mission to bring health and wellness to a higher profile in our business,” Rodbell said.
For now, the focus is on fine-tuning the JustBobbi shops — five launched on Friday — and ensuring a steady flow of merchandise. “We put this together in six weeks so there’s a lot more product coming in,” said Brown, who was with her family and friends, including Veronica Webb.
Upcoming deliveries will include additional women’s clothes and notebooks with Brown’s quotes, and other new products that are meaningful to Brown and reflect her lifestyle. The assortment includes everything from jeans, jackets, T-shirts and sneakers, to wellness products, vitamins and Brown’s books. “I can’t believe how many women are buying the Stan Smith sneakers — mothers and daughters,” said Brown. “I’m sure they have been around forever. They are very cool.”
