What’s in and what’s trending will be the focus of the 20th annual Global Retailing Conference at the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing at the University of Arizona in April.
The conference will be held April 14 and 15 at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson.
“What makes this conference special is the interaction between business, faculty and high-potential students from the University of Arizona and other colleges,” said Lundgren, the chairman and chief executive officer of Macy’s Inc. Lundgren, long an advocate for innovation in retail and fashion, has Macy’s pursuing several growth strategies including overseas and off-price stores, and alternative uses for real estate, including sell-offs, renovations and redevelopments.
Among the speakers will be Lundgren, as well as Stacey Bendet, ceo and creative director, Alice + Olivia; Christiana Shi, president of direct to consumer, Nike Inc.; Richard M. Ashworth, president, pharmacy and retail operations, Walgreen Co.; Carlos Alberini, Lucky Brand’s chairman and ceo; Tony Bartel, chief operating officer of GameStop Corp., and Rachel Mushahwar, head of global retail, hospitality and CPG enabling team for Internet of Things, Intel.
