Online fashion marketplace Lyst.com has named Steven Klooster to the position of chief operating officer.
Klooster begins immediately and reports to Chris Morton, chief executive officer and co-founder of Lyst. The position is a new one for the almost two-year-old firm.
Klooster will have operational oversight of both the London and New York offices. Klooster’s background includes stints at private equity firms such as Warburg Pincus and Syntegra Capital, as well as OC&C Strategy Consultants. He has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Delft University, The Netherlands, and an MBA from the London Business School.
Lyst, which launched in 2011, aggregates the inventories of hundreds of stores. Users from 190 countries can take the information to set up their own shopping feeds where they follow their favorite designers and stores. Over 7,000 designers are represented on Lyst.
