Macy’s, keeping its steady stream of designer collaborations flowing, will launch a limited-time capsule collection by Kobi Halperin, called Kobi.
Kobi will launch exclusively in 149 Macy’s stores and on macys.com on Aug. 15.
Halperin, who for two decades served as a creative director at different fashion houses, launched his namesake collection in 2015. He’s known for a European sensibility, artisan details and modern femininity. Halperin is also considered an aspirational brand with accessible price points, and that’s certainly the case with Macy’s Kobi line, which is priced from $79 to $299.
“The Kobi collection embodies the bespoke-level attention to detail Kobi Halperin has become known for,” said Cassandra Jones, senior vice president of Macy’s fashion. “The heart of this collection lies in making aspirational style accessible.”
“The best part about being a designer is seeing the customer try on a piece and watching her body language completely change,” Halperin said. “I love how my collection has the ability to bring out both confidence and femininity.”

The Macy’s line includes lace off-the-shoulder tops, sweeping cape sweaters, a statement shawl-collar coat, bell-sleeve jackets, tailored blazers, draped dresses, a fitted jumpsuit and tailored pants. Macy’s described its Kobi collection as being “imbued with soft silhouettes and intricate embellishments, having a European sensibility and a soignée approach to dressing.”
Macy’s program of exclusive designer capsule collections is geared to bring designer labels and brands, often associated with more upscale department and specialty stores, to a wider audience. In other designer collaborations, the Anna Sui x INC collection will be available exclusively at 25 Macy’s stores and on macys.com in early September, and in the past, the department store has collaborated on exclusive, limited-time collections with Karl Lagerfeld, Kinder Aggugini, Matthew Williamson, Yigal Azrouël and Giambattista Valli, among other designers.
