Matthew Sebra has been appointed fashion director for men’s and kids’ at Macy’s.

Sebra will be responsible for all areas of men’s and kids’ apparel within the fashion office, which serves as a resource for identifying the latest fashion trends and curating assortments.

For nearly 15 years, Sebra has been working in the fashion industry on the publishing, communications and creative sides of the business. He joins Macy’s from GQ, where he spent seven years on the fashion and editorial teams, most recently as the deputy fashion director, where he helped steer the fashion point of view across print, digital, social and video content.

Earlier, Sebra had jobs at Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Saks Fifth Avenue, Gilt and W Magazine. “His rich and varied experience brings an editorial eye to our men’s and kids’ product assortment, which we know will resonate with our customers when they visit our stores and,” said Durand Guion, vice president, Macy’s fashion office.

Macy’s fashion office team travels the globe to discover the latest trends in fashion, home and beauty and collaborate with buyers and others in the organization.
