Matthew Youngs, president of Ralph Lauren Childrenswear and Latin America, has been named chairman of the National Father’s Day Committee. He will work with Dan Orwig, president and chief executive officer of The Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council, to oversee the annual Father of the Year Awards luncheon.
The Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council is a not-for-profit organization that strives to heighten the awareness of the Father’s Day and Mother’s Day holidays, while raising funds for family-related philanthropic purposes. The Father of the Year Awards lunch benefits Save the Children’s U.S. programs.
“As Matthew’s co-chair last year, I have witnessed his outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to this organization first hand, and I am certain he will be influential as we look to create another successful event,” said Orwig.
Youngs has been with Ralph Lauren for 16 years and is active member of the Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Campaign, a program that seeks to address the disparities in care for women with breast cancer.
