Simigran succeeds Lisa Rhodes, who last January became Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s senior vice president and general merchandise manager of apparel.
Maurices now has two top executives again running the business, Rhodes and George Goldfarb, chief operating office, who both report to David R. Jaffe, president and chief executive officer of Dress Barn Inc.
Simigran has more than 30 years of experience at brands and stores. She most recently served as president and chief merchandising officer of Tabi International, the chain selling classic women’s apparel. Earlier, she held senior management positions at David’s Bridal, Sears Holding Corp. and Lands’ End. Simigran will oversee the merchandise strategy and direction for Maurices’ retail and e-commerce businesses.
