This is an online platform where users can customize a range of pieces in a variety of ways, for example by changing proportions, choosing colors, adding details and embellishments.
An image of the personalized item is immediately at the disposal of customers, who for the fall season can choose among 13 ready-to-wear items and two accessories.
The pieces are produced by Miroglio and are shipped to customers in a few days.
“It’s an innovative production method that combines the industrial process with the final touch of Made in Italy craftsmanship,” said Monica Calicchio, who cofounded Tailor Italy with Giuseppe Giammetta, Francesco Leone and Marco Minutoli.
“This partnership is part of the Miroglio Innovation Program,” said Leonardo Raineri, director of Miroglio’s program focused on developing creative and innovative ideas. “Tailor Italy is a corporate entrepreneurship like The Color Soup, the first Web platform for the on-demand print of fabrics. The elements shared by these two companies is customization, a theme that is getting more and more interesting for the group for a future adoption on an industrial scale.”
Demonstrating its interest in digital innovation, Miroglio will be one of the main partners of Decoded Fashion Milan’s start-up competition “The Fashion Pitch.” The summit organized by E-Pitti will take place Nov. 15 to 16.
